Get NowA patented arithmetic, logic-strategy Abaku game in board game form for 1 - 4 players, played on a 15 x 15 square grid. Game pieces are marked with numbers 0-9 and players place them on the board according to the Game Rules.
The board game is not a classic entry point to the Abaku method, like the tools Dice, Cards, Magnets, Stones, but a tool for students who already recognize ("read") three and multi-digit number combinations in the form of arithmetic equality examples. Therefore, the game in a school environment is intended rather for "already Abaku players" and its contribution consists of (in addition to the game itself :) in further reinforcement, practice and deepening and final anchoring of acquired experience and knowledge of automatic "number reading".
The Abaku game in the same configuration also exists in online form - it is part of the game
offers in the electronic Abaku Lab application. And this configuration is also used for the
nationwide online school league, in which students compete throughout the school year over which
school calculates more examples. (In the 2022/23 school year, the winning school calculated over
100,000 examples). The Abaku board game is the best-selling and most-played arithmetic game in the
Czech Republic. You can order the game with a paper folding board (advantage: price) or a wooden
variable board (advantage: durability, variability and possibility of expansion).

Use: Time requirements for one game 15 x 15 / 110 pieces are for classroom use quite large / 20 - 30 minutes. We recommend using the classic game within a club, for working with talents, school groups, etc. For an Abaku game with less time demand, choose a smaller grid 10 x 10 (wooden variable board) with 60/70 pieces. Such a variant takes about 10 minutes.
Editorial Tip: If you know the Abaku game only from the online environment, then you know that a number is also an expression of its point value. For this physical form, we recommend using appropriate scoring rules: each piece used in a move is 1 point and each new example created in a move is worth 2 points.
Paper Board: Double-sided laminated and printed playing and experimental folding paper board 34 x 34 x 0.4 cm. The experimental side offers three color-differentiated grids 9x9, 13x13, 17x17.
Wooden Board (Oak): consists of nine tiles (9+1), from which you can assemble various game boards with differently arranged bonus spaces. The placement of bonuses affects logic, strategy and tactics. In addition to nine basic tiles, we also supply one different experimental one. On the back of the tiles is a marked empty line grid for experimental games and learning when working with the STONES tool. The tile measures 105 x 105 x 12 mm and the entire assembled board measures 315 x 315 x 12 mm. The tiles are tied together with cord and a brake.

or double-sided printed (SPIN variant) red-black pieces available.
