The 1x1m mat is made from EKOPVC Pro film with sealed top and bottom edges. The base is white and the print is black. The mat is lightweight and durable. If you want to keep it permanently on the floor in the classroom or hallway, we recommend placing it under plexiglass.

You can order it separately or purchase any number of large wooden game pieces to go with it. The mat has a rectangular 15 x 15 game board grid printed on it with bonuses. Bonuses bring new and more challenging elements to the number game requiring more logical, tactical and strategic consideration. This game board is used in the nationwide school competition league in the Abaku game. This game is also available in board game form or in online form in the Abaku Lab online application.

Uses:
It can be used for number games or for teaching individually or in groups with or without teacher supervision. We recommend placing it permanently in a space so that students have access to it even during free time. The mat encourages group experimentation and presentation of ideas and skills - students also spontaneously share the teachings of the Abaku method here without the presence of a teacher.

Tip: Print the short rules of the board game, laminate them and place them on the wall next to the mat. Place the mat in a safe location in the school hallway under plexiglass. Place the stones for the mat in the number of 11 sets (110 stones) in a basket or bag next to the mat.

Stones (Large)

The stones are made of wood and the digits are laser-burned into the surface. The diameter of the stones is 40 mm. The basic set contains 10 stones with digits 0 – 9. They are primarily designed for use on the MAT game board. The set of stones is supplied in a cotton bag with a drawstring.
